Hi everyone!

As always, lots of things going on for the beautiful month of May.

First and foremost, thanks for all of your support in voting me“Best Singer” for the 2013 Cleveland Scene Awards. Obviously, there are some wonderful singers in this town, and to get a acknowledgement like this means a lot to me. Hard work pays off!!

Just got back from a southwest vacation with my good friend and engineer Guggy. We backpacked the Grand Canyon and hiked many other great national parks, Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands, Monument Valley, and many others. It was a great trip that gave me some fresh energy going forward.

Some great shows of note happening this month. I’ll be playing the Beachland four times for some great shows. Port Clinton’s Listening Room for some intimate shows. Blossom Time in Chagrin Falls, Lost Fortunes show at AJ Roccos, GAR Hall, World of Beer, Burntwood Tavern, Happy Dog, Flannerys, Harp, Downtown Farmers Market, and of course the weekly 10 x 3 at Brothers. Going to be finishing the Brent Kirby/Al Moss record “See, Hear, Feel” this month. It’s a good collection of tunes…red headed stepchilds that really don’t fit elsewhere. Excited to get it done!!!

Look out later this month for a preview video of an upcoming BK release for fall 2013. Two tunes, “Better Days” and “So Easy To Be” produced by Brennan Willis from Rewire Media. The Womack Family Band has added some amazing textures to “So Easy To Be”.

The Ohio City Singers will be hanging some Christmas lights in a studio and recording a new record in May. All new tunes, as I heard, we had almost 20 to choose from. This release will be in December 2013. I love playing drums with this band, so much fun!!

The Jack Fords will continue work on “Turn It Up Louder”, our new release scheduled for fall 2013. Doug McKean will be joining us on the bass for Memorial Day weekend gigs, c’mon out and support!

Just finished the mixing at Survival Kit Studios for Leonard DiCosimo’s new collection of tunes, called “Where We Are”. I’m excited for this to be completed as we have all been working hard on it. Amazing performances by guys from Herzog and Expecting Rain, produced by yours truly. Great tunes, all with a Cleveland collection. Keep you posted.
